At this point, we all know that we should try to eat seasonal foods. It's better for the environment, cutting down on the cost of shipping foods across the country to end up in your grocery store. Plus, it helps to support local farmers. If that weren't enough, food just tastes better when it's in season! It's not always easy to stick to seasonal foods, but it's definitely worth while to make that effort.
So, for the next year, I'm going to share some Italian recipes that feature fruits, vegetables, etc. that are in season. Each month I will choose 4 items that are in season at that time and highlight one item per week with several Italian dishes that use that ingredient. No matter what's in season where you live, you can find a way to make a delicious Italian meal out of it!
